I know that the heavy events shrouding our world have left many of us feeling helpless and overwhelmed.
War, violence, and global uncertainty are devastating, and I want to recognize that experience.
I also know that our individual attitudes and actions are all we can ever control, and collectively, our attitudes and actions have incredible power to make change.
Here are three small things that are helping me live in a place of forward thinking and positive action right now. Perhaps one of these will resonate with you?
1. I’m inspired by Ukrainians. The resilience of the Ukrainian people is inspiring, and their strength is contagious. If you’re looking for a way to support the brave people in Ukraine, you may want to check out this list of top-rated relief organizations.
2. I’m encouraged by small kindnesses. I see the beauty of humanity in a million small gestures taking place around me every day. The way we care for each other at home, at work, and everywhere in between is how we put our light and love into the world. When I look for it, I can see light and love being expressed continually.
3. I’m slowing down. One thing the world does not need more of right now is negativity. So I’m being careful to reduce my stress and stop hurrying around. I’m also slowing down so that the news of the world and the actions of others don’t dictate how I act. I’m mindful that I’m creating an example and an environment for those around me, and slowing down helps me create more consciously.
That’s it for today. Let’s keep in prayer and action that our kiddos will inherit a more peaceful world.
Lots of love,
